The ritual
Three steps, then it’s quiet.
No haul, no styling homework. Catalogue once, plan in minutes, and wear what you already own with a little more intention.
Catalogue
Photograph what you own. A few taps per piece — the app reads its colour, category and dressiness for you.
Plan
Choose a week, a trip, or a night out. Your stylist composes outfits from your pieces — weather-aware and occasion-right.
Wear
Dress from the plan and log what you wore. Your wardrobe — and next week’s plan — only gets more honest.
What’s inside
A stylist for the wardrobe you have.
Everything is built around one wardrobe — yours — so every suggestion is something you can actually wear tomorrow.
Plan
Weekly planner
A considered outfit for each day, composed in a few minutes on Sunday.
Plan
Trips & occasions
Pack a capsule for a trip, or plan a single evening down to the last piece.
Start fast
Start before you photograph
Pick from a catalogue of everyday basics and plan your first week today — before you’ve snapped a thing.
Learns
A stylist that learns you
Save a note, skip a look, log what you wore — and every plan gets a little more like you.
Curate
The Edit
A seasonal review of your wardrobe — spot near-duplicates, pieces drifting from your direction, and what’s worth letting go.
Wardrobe
Your wardrobe, catalogued
Everything you own in one place — searchable by colour, brand and dressiness.
Shop smart
Check before you buy
Tempted by something in a shop? Snap it and see how it works with what you already own — and whether you own it already.
Taste
Style directions
Point your stylist toward a direction — heritage, fluid, and more — and watch suggestions follow.
Reflect
Insights
By the numbers, your coverage, and your rhythm — a quiet read on what you own and actually wear.
Taste
Style notes
Tell your stylist a preference in a sentence; it shapes every plan, gently.
Ask
Ask a question
Ask things like “what can I wear to a winter wedding?” and get an answer built from your own wardrobe.
Gaps
See the gaps
Where your wardrobe is thin, and what would actually earn its place — rather than another version of something you own.
Move it on
Sell, gift or pass it along
Done with a piece? List it on eBay straight from your wardrobe with the photos and details already filled in, gift it to a friend, or offer it to other members. Gifting and the member pool are available in Australia, New Zealand and the United States.
Start fast
Import your receipts
Rather not photograph everything? Connect Gmail and the app reads your fashion order confirmations and builds the pieces for you. Entirely optional.
Collect
Wishlist & mood boards
Save pieces you’re considering and looks you want to come back to — and share a look with a link when you want a second opinion.
Why it’s different
No feed. No haul. It starts with your wardrobe.
Most style apps begin at a checkout. The Lookahead begins with what you already own — helping you see it and wear it well. When there’s a genuine gap, we surface it thoughtfully; we’ll never sell you a haul.
And when you’re done with something, we help you move it on — sold, gifted, or passed to another member — rather than leaving it to sit in the back of a wardrobe.

About the app
What it does, and what it does with your information.
The detail behind the features above — including the one Google permission the app can ask for, and why.
The purpose of the app
The Lookahead is a personal styling app. It helps you plan the week’s outfits and keep an organised digital wardrobe, so getting dressed each morning is a quick decision instead of a daily scramble. It is available on the App Store, on Google Play, and on the web, in Australia, New Zealand, the United States, Singapore and France.
The Lookahead is a wardrobe and outfit-planning tool. You add the clothes you own to a digital wardrobe, then the app helps you plan what to wear across the week ahead — informed by your own style preferences, your schedule, and the weather. The aim is the “Sunday ritual”: spend a few minutes once a week so the rest of the week’s outfits are already sorted.
How it works
- Build your wardrobe. Add the clothing you own by photographing each piece, or — optionally — by importing fashion-retailer purchase receipts from your inbox (see below).
- Set your style. Tell the app your style direction, any body or comfort considerations, your climate, and your weekly schedule.
- Plan the week. The app suggests outfits from the items you already own, taking the weather and your week’s plans into account. You stay in control of every suggestion — accept it, change it, or ignore it.
- Move pieces on. Set aside anything you no longer wear, then decide what happens to it — sell it, gift it, offer it to other members, or donate it.
Optional: import purchase receipts from Gmail
So you don't have to photograph every item one by one, The Lookahead can — only if you choose to connect it — read fashion-purchase confirmation emails and turn them into wardrobe items automatically.
This feature is entirely optional and opt-in. Every other part of the app works without it.
When you connect Gmail, we request a single Google permission: read-only access to your email (the gmail.readonly scope). We use it for one purpose — finding fashion-retailer order confirmations and extracting the items you bought.
When you tap "import receipts", the app looks only at messages Gmail itself files under its purchases category from a recent time window. It reads those receipts to extract the item details (brand, item name, category, price, currency, and purchase date) and adds them to your wardrobe for your review. Nothing enters your wardrobe until you accept it.
We never send, modify, or delete email; we don't read messages outside Gmail's purchases category; and you can disconnect Gmail — revoking access immediately — at any time from the app's settings or from your Google Account.
Signing in
You create an account with Sign in with Apple or Sign in with Google. This account login is separate from the optional Gmail connection above — signing in does not give the app access to your email.
How your data and AI are used
The Lookahead uses Anthropic's Claude AI to suggest outfits and to extract item details from the receipts you choose to import. We send only the minimum information needed for each request. We don't sell your personal information or use it for third-party advertising.
Some features hand information to a third party because that is the point of the feature, and only when you choose to use them. Listing a piece for sale sends that listing — its photos, description and price — to eBay under your own eBay account. Posting a gift or community parcel sends the delivery details to our shipping provider. Paying for a subscription sends your payment to Apple, Google, or Stripe. None of these run unless you start them.
For the full detail of what we collect, how we use it, who our sub-processors are, and your rights under the Australian Privacy Principles, please read our privacy policy and terms of service.
